    Hello all,

So it’s not super windy today, and it’s not raining, so I’m heading out to see if there are any wallleyes left in the lake. I can’t say I’m optimistic, but a guy doesn’t know unless he tries, right?

I’ll have a report posted tomorrow.

    Wish me luck!!!

Any walleye guy would rather fish 30mph winds in the middle of the day than to fish with no wind at dusk. Well except those of us who have 14’ers with 15hp, but hey Good luck out there.

Heading out to the rivers to see how a perfect fishing day is like. Cool, no wind, and sunny. The catching will be tough, but that’s why it is called fishing and not catching. And I hope everyone is watching their favorite team. Leave more water for me to fish. Good luck everyone.

wow — we spent about 6 – 7 hrs on the pond this morning. We dragged jigs and shiners on the rocks. We pulled leadcore, rigged medium sized suckers outside the weeds, rigged some deeper gravel, trolled some breaklines, and corked a few rock piles.

    1 24 inch fish

Maybe it is just me but since mid August I think the bite has darn right sucked on the pond. I still like getting out but things just have not been real good for my boat. I guess that is fishing.

Maybe it is just a bad run for me but I’m just saying

I marked more forage than ever — baitfish literally everywhere…I guess this is a good issue for the health of the fish but I am thinking this may be part of why the bite has been so tough.

I hope the night bite picks up for the full moon but I am not going to hold my breath…..

We fished up there Sat, Sat night and Sunday morning and caught one 18 1/2″ smallie. Never saw a walleye and never saw another boat catch a fish. We tried everything knew how to use and even things we had never tried and still couldn’t get bit. Pretty frustrating. Hopefully thing will turn around.

Wife and I just got in from the pond. Caught 4 from 22 thru 24, pulling cranks in shallow water. Fish looked very healthy and fat.
Not a lot of boats out. Water temp 56 on the west side.

I just got back from fishing last night, and it took me a while…but I finally found some fish. Caught them on a deep weedline on the north end of the lake….there are lots of them down there, but it wasn’t easy getting them to bite.

Ended up getting eight in the boat, and I even brought home a legit Mille Lacs limit.
