Well guys here is my problem….. We are having a family reunion at Appledoorn’s next Saturday 8/10 through Tuesday 8/13. My wife and I have a pontoon in the water near Garrison but want to bring the pontoon over with us to the East side. We do not have a trailer as we always rent one each spring and fall to take the boat in and out.

If you are not familiar with Appledoorn’s, you need to be able to pull the boat out if the weather is going to get bad or if the wind is going to blow the boat into their dock. Everyone that has rental trailers in the area either want an insane amount of money for the extended use or will not allow the trailer to be gone that long.

We are hoping to find someone looking to make $50-$75 bucks by letting us use a trailer that they may have just sitting around. Of course we would return the trailer in the condition that we received it in. A scissor type of trailer is what we are looking for. The pontoon is a 18′ Long and approximately 1500 lbs.

    Thank you for the help.

Just curious, but did you ask Appledorns themselves?
I know they have various trailers for pulling boats in and out with tractor.
    Just a thought.

    I figured as much.
I wonder if a quick “wanted/needed” craigs listing add would spark some possibilities? I believe there’s a Mille Lacs craig listing.

    Good luck

Renting a slip at Fisherman’s Wharf maybe easier and cheaper then pulling it in and out. About 1.5 miles by water.
