Can anyone tell me where a good place to stay and dock a boat for a Friday and Saturday? It will be my first trip so any tips would be greatly appreciated as well.

    Thanks much!

I would also like to get some information on a good place to stay with a truck camper. Thanks for any tips or recommendations.

Trigger, sorry I missed this post last week. Hope you found a place for your trip….

There are decent campgrounds all around the lake. Most resorts with hotels/cabins also cater to weekend campers.

I keep a place at the Fishermen’s Wharf on Big Point. (East Side) Nice place with everything from tent sites to full hook ups. Protected harbor is a big plus never having to dump a boat into big rollers. Even though most places have nice docks, I always pull my boat at night. I just sleep better having it on a trailer within earshot.

Other places I have stayed are McQuoids, Scenic Bay, Agate Bay, The Red Door, and Karpens. All offer different levels of service/price.

So, what are you guys looking for? Just a place to park with electric. Full hook ups? Cabins/hotel? Bar/restaurant? Give me a little more info and I can point you in the right direction.

    Hey, thanks Jon
I’m looking for a cabin for 2 or so with a kitchen (and of course a bar near by.). We tried The Red Door and have temp reservations at the motel there because the cabins are booked. So basically something like the Red Door cabins.

    Thanks

Fisher’s Resort. (Just south of Malmo) 1-866-684-2221 or 320-684-2221

    Francis Resort (In Isle) 320-676-3127

Scenic Bay Resort (In Isle) 320-676-3274

These 3 are mid price range. Cabins with kitchens and dockage.

We are staying at Scenic in the motel with the kitchen. Thanks much for your help. We will be up there in mid July. I’ll track you down so you can point me towards the perch and the eyes…..

You should try Nittis hunters pt resort. They have a place at Eastside marina thats reasonable and big. Two big bedrooms with four fullsize beds. He has a website. I think the address is hunterspointresort.
