I want to give a shout out to my friend Eddy up by Mille Lacs. After years of working as a boat mechanic at several marine repair shops, including head mechanic at Prince Bait in Milca for years, a couple years ago he started a mobile marine repair service.

After breaking things in my boat the past couple weekends it was awesome to be able to park in my own garage at the cabin and just give him a call on the way home. He’s stops over during the week and has my boat repaired and ready to use by Friday all without having to find extra time to drop off/pick up at a repair shop.

If anyone with a place up by Mille Lacs is in need of a good mechanic PM me for Eddy’s number.

Love the idea. They hate storing your rig just as much as you hate bringing it there. Esp. for small fixes and diagnostics, a mobile marine mechanic makes all the sense in the world.

PM sent. I have needed a good boat mechanic several times and I am not impressed at all with the one I used to use up there. Being there every weekend it bites not having a boat.
