The walleyes on Mille Lac are on the chew. Been watching posts about trolling, but the slip bobber bite is also very effective. 
I thought that the fish would still be shallow during the day, but I only found them shallow during sunset. The walleyes are “roaming the ridges” and more than willing to inhale a leech one foot of the bottom!! Lost track of how many fish, but easily 25 plus fish over 22 inches no problem for my boat with the biggest just over 28″. Seemed like every fish was 24-26 inches long though. Only caught 3 slot fish. No small ones 
. Was blessed with calm weather, but the bugs were about to drive you nutz at times. Big time hatch going on right now.
