Has anyone caught a walleye with one of the new orange tags yet this Spring? I’m curious to find out what type of free lure they are giving away.

We got 2 in my boat this week-end, I will have to call right now. Since I am thinking about it, thanks to you.

Its a Rapala HJ10 Tennesee Shad, so pretty much worthless on Mille Lacs.

JK, I haven’t heard of anyone who has gotten anything yet.

Yep, those Tennessee Shad colored HJ10’s & HJ12’s are worthless on Mille Lacs… You should just send them to me and I’ll dispose of them

I guess it must be something special because no one is talking

I was at Fishermans Wharf on Friday too talking to a lady that got a 23″ with an orange tag also but she was just trying to figure out where to turn the tag into at the time. She thought it was worth a $500 prize or something so she was a little dissapointed when she found out it was a lure. But we still explained the importance of her turning it in so at least she was going to still. So I never did hear what they were giving out.

You just go to the DNR website and register the tag. I did that yesterday and shortly after that I got an email from them telling me where to send the tag for the reward. She would not tell me what the reward was though.

Yes, might even catch a Walleye trolled up shallow at night. Wonder if it would work behind leadcore.

I received a Storm SubWart – swimming depth 0′-1′. It’s only 1 1/2″ long. What do I do with this??

We caught 3 tagged fish on Sat night. Two orange ones and a yellow tag.
