Tagged fish
You caught a tagged fish at Mille Lacs?
Numbered plastic “tags,” which resemble a short length of coated electrical wire, were anchored under the dorsal fin of over 20,000 Mille Lacs walleye. Some muskies and northern pike have also been tagged in previous years.

The information that the DNR gathers from this study is critical to answering many questions about the Mille Lacs walleye population.
