    Hey Guys,

I’ve never rented on Mille Lacs and I’m looking to rent a small shack because it will only be 2-3 people. However, I want Sat TV and a generator. Where should I rent from?

Looking to rent this upcoming weekend (Jan 11-13).

    Thanks!

    -Alex

Hawethorne is a great guy to check with, but I’m not sure they’ve got sat TV is the portavilla shacks or not. I’ve never used them but Another place to try is hunter winfields. They have some very nicely decked out shacks.

I’m not positive on size of the Hunter Winfields houses but I think they’ve got a few 2-4 person shacks. I also think they may be the only rentals that come with TV’s as an option.

We do have small 8×14 good for 2 people, some 16 footers good for 2 or 3 – bigger houses are good for 4-6 – all have Sat TV and come with Generators and fuel.

do you move your shacks often to stay on the hot bite…pending there is one? Just want to try and stay away from resorts who place a house and don’t ever move them from early ice until the end of the year. Can tell by the million and a half pee spots around them…

if they are on fish, I would hope they don’t move them… just to get away from the pee spots ? Just run the blade over the pee spots and push em down the road…

We do move them weekly as needed (presuming the bite didn’t shut down) – in case we don’t have to move a house we strongly discourage peeing on the banks!!

I was just up this past weekend out of Twin Pines near Garrison. The houses aren’t as nice as some (no generator/TV), but they have quite a few and the people who run the resort are very nice. The price is right and fishing on the mud flats is good right now. Terry’s Harbor is right near there as well.

+1 for brad. No sat tv, but they do have hookups for TVs, and very nice shacks. You won’t be disappointed.
