I was fishing with two friends on Saturday on Mille Lacs East side, with the way the winds have been and where on Saturday we decided on Shaws reef, in 10 feet of water.
I started with just a plain hook and a medium leech,another plain hook with a crawler and the third was a 1/8oz. Charteuse jig head. The first 4 walleyes went for the jig and leech combo before we all swithched to jig and leeches same color. So im not sure if other colors would have worked.Surface temp was 58 degrees but my electronics is an old Humming bird so im not convinced it is accurate. We ended the day with six fish total all over 22 inches,the biggest was by me at 27 inches she was very fat and healthy and is still swimming.
I hope some find this a bit helpful and I dont think it will be long before the shallow bobber bite picks up. 
All fish where caught after 9:30am as I over slept. We left the water at about 4pm.
