I spent some time running the boat yesterday checking out a few things. The surface water temp was around 46-47 deg’s in the morning. The boat ran great and all worked ok, so now it’s count down time to opening day!!!!!!!

I’m would like to see the water temp warm up a litlle in this next two weeks! Hope for calm winds, warm sunny days!!
Lets see it reach the 50-52 mark……..Thats wishfull thinking?

I made a quick trip……as I froze my butt off out there. It was colder than I was dressed for! I know the sand temps will be a bit warmer……its just that way, the sun is in the southwestern skys this time of year and that end of the lake see’s most of the sun! It’s also shallower and the sand warms quickly!!!!

I rig the sand during the day and bobber the rocks in the wind and or after dark.

I have a couple rock piles up in the sand I bobber fish every once in a while. They produce well if the drift fisherman don’t get to thick, they tend to take offense when you drop an anchor anywhere up there, afterall, its their lake.
