Lake update

    Is the lake open? What are the water temps currently if anyone has been out of the bays.

    Sorry for all the questions, been over in WI for 10 days and out of touch with what’s going on.

    The lake is open, the indians are netting. Will be out on the lake saturday, will report back on the water temp then.

    Thanks Tim – I will be up Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon to open up my cabin and check on things in preparation for the opener.

    Waterfowler – the bite was tough and I didn’t realize little fish (14″-16″) would play a significant part in placing in the money until after day 1. I spent day 2 looking for those little guys I had found Easter weekend away from the leaders and then got on them but it was too late for a check. Ended up giving up some valuable points for the championship, but 47th was respectable.

    I did bring home the best prize last Saturday though, his name is Chesney.

    Looks to me like you faired pretty well. Now pick up the loose shoes laying around and make sure all the crankbaits are picked up in the boat. Great looking up!!

    First cash, then boats and motors, and now puppies. I guess they ran out of gifts when they got to 47th place.

    Thanks Steve – he will be up for opener sometime Saturday through Sunday and will get his first boat ride if not before!

    Waterfowler – I think I made out the best from all the competitors with what I brought home. And yes, we have him quarantined in the kitchen. at 6 weeks old he has lots of teeth and is not afraid to use them!

    Thanks Bigfife – hopefully it will get better from there so I can qualify for the Championship.

    Didn’t make it up Tim, I am attempting to housebreak our new addition. If I get up this weekend it will be only to work on the fish house.
