I hope those Walleyes make it through the heat. The Department of Do Nothing Right will be counting them against our quota.

if they go against our quota it would be nice to be able to keep them. Maybe they should go against the seagulls quota.

Saw quite a few over the weeend. I personaly think alot of them are from the launch boats just plopping them back over the side. Every fish caught in our boat this weekend was revived until they went down strong. Seen a 29.5 up on the flats struggling to go down so we pulled up to her and tried to get her to go back but she wouldnt!

we saw a couple, can’t say I’d blame the launches, seemed to me there were plenty of boats with 3-4 people that could have been more to blame.

The key to a good release in this hot weather is to keep the fish in the water at all times. Keep the fish in the net when removing hooks and have the camera guy ready. With a quick pic and back in the water you should have no trouble keeping these fish healthy. Keep the rule of 20 seconds or less out of water and the survival rate is pretty good.

We didnt keep her. She was still kicking when we left her and i wouldnt feel right keeping a fish i didnt catch big or not. She kept trying to go down and would make it 5-10 ft down and come back up and do it again. We didnt have any keepers in the boat or even plan on keeping fish. didnt even bring a fillet knife on the trip so we didnt have a way to clean her.
