Building a 10×20 house for Mille lacs and looking around for steel runners rather then oak but buying new steel is to much! anyone have anything laying around or know anyone with anything? Finished runners or can weld up myself if it is just raw steel? Cash in hand to pick up at a moments notice and can be anywhere between the metro to mille lacs and anywhere along the way with in reason.

When I was going to redo mine I was told there was a guy by Malmo that had skids. They may have been wood though. I ended up getting rid of the shack so I never looked into it more.

Isle Discount Supply will have or get what your looking for. They are next door to Lybacks Marine.

I would stick with white oak runners. Steel runners pull to quickly.

X2 Our fish house has steel and given the choice to start over I would go with Oak.

We surely agree with this. Our guys would rather pull wood runners than steel.

Steel runners from Isle supply are $50/ft for welded up frame with side bolt plates. 4x6x1/4 tubing. I thought it was very resonable.
