    With the 2012 Opener merely hours away I thought it would be a perfect time to get a post going where we can share our favorite pictures from Mille Lacs during the 2012 season.

    Please take a few moments to share a couple photos and add a line or two to tell us about them. Let’s also try to limit responses to only posts with photos and if you need help getting them posted shoot me a PM.

    I’ll get us started with a few from ice fishing season!

    1 – Technically not 2012 – Caught on New Years Eve in a whiteout this was my last fish of 2011. The white background makes this one of my all time favorite fishing pics
    2 – My close friend Erik with a dandy from his only 2012 trip to the pond
    3 – Dad iced his new PB ice ‘Eye just after Christmas
    4 – Kellie also with a PB ‘Eye from her 1st ever ice trip to Mille Lacs
    5 – Fellow IDO member Mike67 with the big fish from our last Mille Lacs trip of the year
    6 – Another IDOer Washburn with a fat 25″
    7-9 – More toads from the pond
    10-12 – Crazy ice conditions this year led to some awesome Mille Lacs scenery!

    Hey Will, good fishing with you last night! Here are a couple picture worthy fish from opener fishing with Mike W. The walleye hit like 10 seconds after letting line out trolling midnight Friday! Little over 27. The smallie came later and went 19 but was thick and fat. One of the nicer looking bass I have ever caught.

    My dads 26 1/2 walleye, my 44 inch pike, brothers 19 inch small mouth. All caught Monday evening (may 14th) We had a blast with that pike, I now need a bigger net.
