    With the open water season now upon us! I have been thinking about picking up some new top water lures for smallies. I know I’ll be pitching B-Fish-N plastics in late May-June. They have been very good in catching the smallies in Mille Lacs. What I need is some go to top water baits that will produce in July-August!!!!!!

    What’s your best top water lure!!!!!!

    I will be hitting the smallies much harder this year. I picked up some Rapala Skitter Pops and Skitter Props.

    The guy’s on in-fisherman the other day were using Rapala Skitter Pops!!!!!!

    Size 9 or 11 black/silver Original Floating Rapala, worked in an injured minnow fashion. I haven’t seen a top water out produce it yet, when fished side by side another lure. Real good luck on both LMB and SMB.
