Hi, new member here and I was wondering how has the tullibee and perch bite been out there the last few days? I have not heard much for reports this week and am planning on coming up on Saturday. I really want to try to get into some tullies, but they were tough the last time we came up with only a couple of them being caught. We tried fishing the deep edges of a few different mud flats from 32-38 FOW, and am not sure if we just hit a bad day or were fishing the wrong flats. Any pointers on where to find them anywhere on the lake would be much appreciated. Also, I am planning on trying for a few jumbos as well. I have heard the transition lines in the mud from 28-32 FOW were best as of last weekend, and would have to guess they would still be within those general areas.?

    Welcome to IDO!

I haven’t been up there for about a month now, but my general rule of thumb is jus off the flats. Maybe 10-50 yds. That’s where the muck is and where the bugs are. If you see fish on the flasher, they are there because food is there. Doesn’t matter if they are perch, tullies or walleyes.
