Many Thanks to those of you that shared some insight into fishing on Mille Lacs for a newbie. We had a good time and everyone we talked to was very helpful with ideas and suggestions. Thought I would show a pic of my GF with this 29″ we put back down the hole for another day. We had 10 slot fish the first night of which 5 of them were 25+ including this one Hope my GF now realizes that I do listen — at least when people are talking fishing advice… Thanks Again to those who helped us have a memorable experience.

Actually old school technology worked best. Plain hook on a rattle reel. Jigging would bring them in long enough to see them on the flasher and then they would slam the rattle reels soon after.

We were fishing in a private house out of Castaways.
