Well was able to get up to the pond for the fist time this winter. Fished the north end with decent success. Started out the early morning fishing some rocks with not much to show for our efforts. At about 9:30 we moved out to deeper water and found some willing fish.
We ended the day keeping 10 jumbos between 12.5″ and 11″. We caught about 15 walleye most being to small. Kept 4 between 15-17″ and threw a 23″ back. All and all not to bad of a day.
There would be a wave of fish that would come in and we would pick two or so out of each with each wave coming every 30-45 minutes. I caught over 10 eyes with red larva yesterday. That was a fist for me.
There was a solid 14-15″ of ice everywhere we went.
