Main lake ice on the move again

About 10:45 this morning, the main lake ice, with a stiff NW wind behind it, set sail again to the SE. There is several 100 yards wide of open water from Garrison to Knox Point, and assumably, south of Garrison down the west side.

When and if we get a heavy east or NE wind, before it locks up, could it blow out from that stretch east of Knox Point to Malmo and then south of there?

Most snow events have an easterly wind with them….

Odds? If the weather forcast is right for late next week, 50/50 for those days. We will try and get a better handle on a potential schedule of pulling houses by early next week. The odds could go up…or go down. Right now, that’s the best we can do. We are hoping!

    Bowhuntr,
dont worry so much about the ice. if it’s good ice go ice fishing. if open water, get the boat out.

Just adapt to the conditions. my good pal & i went out of Garrison today in the boat and had a great day with the 50F sunshine. No Sallys….just go fishin!
