Yes, Virginia there is a Santa Claus and he brings walleyes in the largest porportion. I have a picture of when I was maybe 8 years old holding what my dad told me was a 10+ lb walleye from Mille Lacs. Back in the day My dad fished the East side with his 16 foot Lund tiller with car seat belts to hold me and my brother to the seat in 4 footers while he cought stringers of 7 and 8 lb of fish. Back then you could keep 6 fish with no slot. I have seen and it was in the paper a 2 man stringer of 96 lbs came from our camp back then. Now that I am an adult I have took what I have learned from my dad and ohter people I have fished with over the years up on the big pond, with many 29 somethings comming to my boat and hearing of people catching bigger. The #9 SSR that God sent to my tackel box this night put a 30 and 1/2 inch and the biggest walleye I have seen to date. I told myself that if I got a 30+ 10 lbs and bigger that it was going next to my 2 16″ Crappies I have mounted, but some how my dad told me I would get a bigger one some day. So it is in the lake for someone elese to enjoy.

Great fish. My 30″ from the pond weighed about 6lbs.
