Fished the north shore from Myr Mar to Red Door pulling a variety of stick baits and SSR #7s in 3 to 6 feet (inside weed edge). The fish are chewing up there right now. We found the best bite to be from 1am to 4am (once the moon sliver was up, the fishing really picked up). Best colors ranged from perch/ black gold to white to blue/silver. Husky jerks and #11 floaters were the best sticks 50-80 feet back on 10/4 fireline depending on the depth. There is some nasty slim growing on the milfol beds up there, which will give your motor a work out if you happen into one. Water temps were 50-51. There are many, many 15-19 inch slots going right now. Our overs ranged from 20-23 for the most part with big fish at 26. Speed was 1.6-1.8. Last trip for me. Good luck and stay safe to all venturing out the remaining soft water season up there.

That slime on that cabbage sucked. We also noticed the shallow bite. Little Rippers and floating Rogues were our hot sticks. Most of our north end fish came out of 3 FOW.

we came off plane from Red Door to Myr Mar and landed in a patch of that stuff… damn near locked up the motor…one could walk accross that stuff in some spots…

Threw Muskie baits all day Saturday and into the early evening… no fish or follows…
