Mark, Juan, and myself smacked the fish pretty good last night. Trolling HJ’s, shad raps, thundersticks etc. put a bunch of fish in the boat. 8-12ft over the rocks with trolling speeds right around 2mph did the trick. Awesome weather for an October full moon on Mille Lacs.

Nice fish guys. Sounds like about the same luck we had last night. Had 6 in the box by 730 and they just kept coming after that. I would guess we ended the night in the 30 to 40 fish range.
We got pushed off our first spot by boat traffic. That was fine. Fishing in a crowd is not my thing. We ended up on a shoreline with maybe one or two other boats and plenty of fish to keep us happy. Lots of keeper size fish last night with just a few bigger ones and one huge pike.
#5 red flicker shad was the hot lure for me. Would of never imagined that lure would go so well on a OCT full moon.
We had similar luck in the rocks 8′-11′ #5 shad rap in firetiger was the best for us. Nicest weather in Oct I have ever fished in at night.
Nice reports guys…way to lay into them. Gonna scratch that itch on Friday. Hope there are a few left!!!
