The old man and I are going up October 12-16 to chase some shallow water eyes. It sounds like the weeds are still fairly high so that should things interesting.

I was thinking it would be good to get a list of fellow IDO’rs and some contact information so we could stay in touch and keep on top of the fish. So who else is planning to head up there next week?

Due to school, work & family I can only get up there for a one day shot. Heading up around noon and fishing until they stop biting.

I Just got back from the Red Door, yes the weeds are still high and green.
That wind from Thursday and Friday really stirred the lake up, and there is a lot of floating weeds along the north shore.

It looks like some kind of blade type grass, not really sure what kind of plant it is,I was just wondering if anyone else noticed that weed and if they know what it is?

I made apoint of being at our place in Wahkon Mon, Tues, Wed, & drode into E. B. today to only drive back tonight when the Mrs.’ week is done. Too wet last night but boxed 8 out of the 1st 9 on Tues & then we proceeded to burn up a bunch of memory card space. We lost count but some where north of 25 but less than 30. Biggest was only a fat 24″er. Chrome #9 Taildance (60 degree water) & Silvre #9 bent lip shad. Rocks off the basin and it didn’t matter the speed. They bit at 2 & at 1.5. I went with a “11 HJ looking for Gators but no luck for anything on that on Tues. On Mon I had 2 others in the boat & the silver HJ was HOT! Biggest (29” & his P.B), most, etc. Numbers were less (@ in the box)but fish bigger.
    Man, I love that place!
I usually have my radio on 82. Green & sand 1900 LE w/ Yammies & after seeing a 25 MPH wind on Fri out of the NW I just mught pulll her out of the water and trailer up to Garrison & join the Conga line from Terry’s to GC Marina.

Fished the “Peak” moon phase, Mon/Tues/Wed nights. Pretty good bite all three nights! As the reports indicate, a lot of nice slots going in the box with the big fish numbers down a bit. More like a typical late Sept full moon bite with water temps still tickling the 60 degree mark. Looking forward to hitting the Nov full moon here in a couple weeks!

All of my video turned out like crap! And the couple times I pulled out the camera, the picture ended up being blurred. Grrrrr.. Anyway, here is a shot of my best fish, self portrait of a nice 29er that came off some east side rocks in 9 fow late. I know, kinda lame, but what the heck – right??? I had a couple messages asking about this fish.

Good fishing with Mike W and Malmo Mafioso! Hope to do it again here soon.
