The muskies don’t start biting till 3pm. The ducks just provide a nice breakup of the constant string of 50″s that have been hitting the net.

Good luck guys heading up tomorrow night but here is a little report from Saurday and Wednesday this week.
My uncle and I went up Saturday (24TH) night fished 7:30PM to 1:30AM and boated 23 eyes and 8 for the box. Was an exceptional night for eaters however we did get a few in the 22″ to 25″ range. Firetiger was the hot bait for the night at 1.5 to 1.8 mph in 6 to 8 fow. With the fishing this good and Wednesday (28th) warm weather and calm winds I had to get back up there and was not disapointed for doing so. My uncle and I boated 24 eyes this night with 6 in the box. This was an exceptional night for the ladies. We had troubles getting box fish but we had several fish in the 21″ to 26″ range to keep us busy for the night. Since we did well with the firetiger Saturday night we started with them and stayed with it the entire night. They were just hammering them. Again we were trolling at 1.5 to 1.8 in 6 to 8 fow.
Going to head up tomorrow for the night and get warmed up for next weekend when it could even get better.
October full moon going to be good thei year.
Good luck and be safe out there

Sorry for the delay in reporting back. Tuck and Bowman have issues…

It was rough once again on Friday night, iwindsurf wind forcast showed the wind switching all throughout the night but never more than 10mph in any direction…wow were they wrong. Fished out of myr mar, I wanted to fish the rocks due to not fishing rocks yet this year and also good reports coming out of this area. Well we caught 2 nice fish (19.875″ and 19.5″) within the first hour of trolling, little did we know those were our only 2 fish of the night. Thursday was a big blow day on mille lacs and had th lake stirred up big time. While fishing the rocks we were constantly getting our lures fouled by grass, not weeds from the lake but actually grass like in your yard, strange but only thing I could think of was the wind the day before had the lake stirred up. I also noticed the lake was mixed up too, water with headlamp seemed to stirred up too. Water temp was 57 degrees.
October full moon approaching soon should help things as well, got to fish with another IDOer
