    if you 3 way rig would it be about the same as lead core or is it just waist time on the pond

    If you are talking about putting a crank 24 feet down in 27-30 FOW at 2.0 to 4.5 mph, yep waste of time IMO.

    Now it you want to run a crank at those depths at .5 to 1.5 or so mph on a 3-way, go for it.

    It’s not the same deal. Two totally different presentations.

    Using snap-weights would be a better alternative to leadcore at those speeds

    I have had luck running floating raps on 3-ways in the past. Give it a try.

    I dont see why it wouldnt work. I’ve caught many eyes on Mille Lacs trolling a 3 oz. bottom bouncer with a original rapala floater with a 8-12 ft. leader in 30+ feet of water, trolled at about 1.5 to 1.8 mph. Sometimes you have to think out of the box!
