My wife is helping with a garage sale Saturday (nothing worse) ….thinking of running up to the pond for the day. Any reports re: eyes, perch or muskies?

    Thanks

did very well pulling leadcore and #7’s, seemed crome colors did just as well as perch colored lures like hot tiger and firetiger. fished the top edges of the mud and some sand to mud transitions. #4 hornets got some good jumbo perch as well with some smaller eyes, pulled spinners with crawlers and had some success when going over pods of fish that i graghed that wasn’t spred out.mille is kicking out some dandie walleyes rt now!

Don’t forget jigs or rigs and minnows. Minnows seem to be overlooked a lot on Mille Lacs and can be very productive if presented correctly.

12 degree drop in water temp from 73.2 to 61.4 might shut the fish down somewhat but it still is worth a try. From my experience when the water temps drop like this a very very slow presentation until the temps stabilize again.
