Just got my new River Rockers in the mail last night. They look very good and I can’t wait to put the hurtin on some eyes this weekend on ML with them. These should work on lead core and straight mono in the shallow rocks!!

    Hi Tim,

Had to google that up! Can I assume these are it?

    River Rockers

Kinda look like the old lazy ikes. Some of the old timers (row boat days) would talk about tipping them with a piece of crawler. Good luck. Let us know how they work out for ya!

Those are the ones!! I got 3 colors for now. I really think with all the lead core trolling going on those fish have seen alot of the same lures. These are a little different and a wider wobble, might be just the ticket. They use to kill them with the lazy ike, so this should work. Will report back monday.

Hang a nightcrawler on the the front treble and you’ll
have a old mille lacs cocktail from the early 60s
they used lazy ikes and flatfish back then
    what goes around comes around
    history repeats it’s self

I was thinking about that one. Roughly that same color works in the taildancers. But with a limited budget and them being $6.29 apiece I could only get a couple colors for now. I went with the shiner(black and silver) Perch and chartruese glow. If they work like I think they will I’ll be getting more!!

    T-bone-

You will like em! I have been using them for about a month now. I ended up buying half of Reed’s stock in them on the way home.

The colors you got are great for mille lacs! Dont over look Aunt creepy either!

Thanks for the tip T-Bone. I’m always willing to try different crankbaits in the open basin and I definitely know what doesn’t work.

I would think this color would be good too.

They dont call em the river rocker for nothing!!! You can run em up to and over 6 mph without them blowing out on ya!

Open water trolling they were the only thing that worked. On the deep gravel they caught roughly 1 out of 3 fish. The flicker shad and salmos were the ticket there. The shallow rock bite kinda died this weekend so they didn’t get a good test there. I love the action of these things. I want to get a couple of the smaller ones in other colors and keep testing them. I definately think its a winner bait.
