Well I got no takers on the seat, so I did decide to go out by my self. I got to the lake about 12:30pm. I first decided to head out to the blue jug. When I got there I started running a 9′ rig with a floating hook. I didn’t have it in the water for 10 min and it was fish on, a nice 22″ eye. I messed around with that for an hour or so boating 4 more eye’s. I then headed out to the big flat (fisher flat) north side and picked up another 2 on rigs, I normally run 12 footers but makes it tough to net your own fish. I then went and did some LC trolling around the this flat and picked up 5 all between 22″ and 25″. I made my way back to the jug and decided to change up, I switched to a jig. I casted it out and not 4 min fish on. I caught 5 fish in a half hour and started making my way back to the landing. Was a great time out there to bad someone didn’t take the seat in the boat. I wish I would of had some keepers but alot of big fish will do.

P.S. I was in my white alumacraft with the 2 dogs laying getting sun and they don’t bark to give my spots away I do that instead!!!

Thanks for the report and congrats on your successful solo outing. Some of my most memorable days on the water was by myself – just soaking it all in and reflecting on life. It’s pretty hard not to be true to yourself when you are fishing alone.

I saw your post yesterday morning at about 8am, and figured you were long gone. My buddy backed out on me for yesterday. I was ready to reply, but I saw you said you were getting up early and I thought I missed you. I did get up there later in the day with my neighbor. We hit the south end, and pulled spinners. At the first spot the perch kept hitting my crawlers. Managed one eater eye and a couple of jumbos. Went to a small mud flat and didn’t mark much, so we moved on. Found some deep gravel with fish and no other boats, so we pulled spinners again. We got a lot of hits, but only got 4 overs to the boat(18-22″). Had more then that come unglued. Pulled lead towards shore to a rock pile for the evening bobber bite. Got one and lost one. Hit the rocks for the last 1.5 hours. Picked up 2 big smallies(18 & 20″) 6 eaters and 1 over. Turned out to be a decent day of fishing. I’m glad we were both able to still get out.
