Mille Lacs Launches

There are several people in my church interested in doing a trip up to Mille Lacs and renting a launch, doing kinda a fishing/picnic trip on the water.

So, any launches people can recommend? And any idea how much it would cost to rent an entire launch? If we did that, is it a straight fee or a per/passenger fee? We are thinking something like 10-15 people at this point.

And is there any problem bringing beer or wine on board a launch? Not being a drinker myself, that hasn’t been something I have paid much attention to.

    Thanks

Hunters Point launches sound perfect. You can get the whole launch and yes, you can bring booze, food (they have grills) and they will actually put you on the hot bite Our family rents one a couple times a year and we have made some great memories for sure

Fishers resort has the nicest pontoon launch on the lake that is large enough for your whole group to have a picnic right out on the lake and they are very willing to accomodate bringing beer/wine.

They also have a perfect area right on the water with tables and a fire pit if you want to have a picnic beforehand.

Their number is 320-684-2221 if you want to give Suzy & Dean a call.

I’d vote for Hunter’s Point too. Never was on a launch in my life until last Wednesday. We with a group out of Hunters Point and had a blast and caught fish even in nasty wind the day after a huge fly hatch. The are first rate in my book!
