Just pulled my house off leech yesterday in Walker Bay the snow is really going fast you should be able to travel with a truck no problem just watch for old banks from the plowed roads. Erickson landing is a good place to get on and alot of water to fish up to sand point for perch you should be able to travel thru the narrows up to goose Island to fish the big Lake just watch for any old banks. The goose island area has a lot of traffic and the perch are starting to go you can drive on at shores of Pine point for a fee on their road system again watch the banks to drive to different spots moving around should be easy drill a bunch of holes and fish and move.

    Good luck

I have driven thru the narrows before I always stop and check the area before I travel a 4 wheeler would be fine and the best to use as always you need to use caution each year is different lots of water on the ice now you should be able to find all the perch you want in the sand point area.

I found a post from Gofishleech on another site from yesterday about lake conditions on Leech “Guote” You can drive a truck anywhere you want to right now. A sled or wheeler could be wet. perch are biteing and the ice is thick. But if you have to choose between sleds or wheelers I would use the wheelers.

So anywhere means also the narrows I guess Point is it changes every day now till Ice out just be safe and use common sense

Also its 36 in walker now with a good rain in two days it changed fast I suggest now with the rain bring the 4 wheeler to be safe as the access areas will have alot of water.

Bob I know you haven’t been in the area that long but the narrows is not a normal travel rout in the winter with full size vehicles. Sure there are some years with little snow that the narrows is used for travel and I have myself over the years but with a year like this one with allot of snow I wont be going thru the narrows. It is always first to open in spring and does not get the ice the rest of the lake gets. Im sure there are some using it but I haven’t seen anyone using it this spring. I guess when I said you could travel anywhere I should have excluded the narrows, oh and also the Kabekona bridge area. For those of you that don’t know I am “Gofishleech” on another board.

For sure Tom with the moving water in those areas you need to be careful especially the kabekona bridge which always has open water. 16 this morning Im sure the water on the lake has froze good bring the ice cleats.
