What’s the ice like?

    The annual March trip is in the making….
    How is the ice-access looking?,Are trucks going out yet?
    Any reports are greatly appreciated

    I have not been out myself but there are trucks going out and the ice is in good shape. We got 5 or so inches of snow but no big deal. It has been cold the last couple of nights and is makeing ice so the out look for march perch fishing is very good.

    no problem at all looked like most landings were usable. We went out on Portage Bay, still got stuck twice, but that was our fault we were pulling a trailer and slowed down too much. The perch are just starting to get grouped up. We had a great time, just got back last night.

    I’m hoping that it doesn’t snow too much next week…..
    I’d be MUCH happier if we can drive the truck out….
    You gonna be able to swing it work wise??

    Well…It looks like this weekend is the big day
    Tom….How about motels in the Walker area?…
    I checked out the Casino and they want over 100 bucks a night!
    I was hoping to find something a little cheaper…

    I sure hope the fish are biting

    You could try lakeview inn, just across from park off main street. You might also try a resort or two. Horseshoe Bay has hotel type rooms. There is also frontier inn out by the casino and of course there is Americinn and country inn and suites.

    shark, you should hit it perfect water on the ice today lots of melting 50 degrees now in walker you can travel all of the 133,000 acres of water on leech in your truck go gettum Drill and drill
