We lost allot of snow yesterday on the lakes with temps in the upper 40’s (2/12/11) With the next few days expected to be the same we will lose most if not all snow on the lake and travle will be much easier. I dont think it will change the pout fest rules of no driving but if you come early you will be able to get your houses out and not be too clutered (unless thats what you want!) The weekend forecast is for highs in the teens and twentys so everything should be froze. Wheelers should not have have a problem getting around after a couple more days of melt down.

It will be interesting to find out what the turn out is like for POUT FEST this year. With the restrictions Cass Country Sheriff has put on Walker bay for the weekend, its going to keep a few people from going up there. Good luck to the pouters, our group and shelter(The Gerbil Cage) will be “MIA” this year.

Talked to a sheriff last night and he told me the restrictions for travel with a truck will not be changed he drilled from marine max and found 14″ of ice they dont want all the trucks etc parked close together so its atv or snowmobile but if you get here before Fri you should have no problem pulling a house out.

If anyone has trouble getting their house out onto the lake, Greg Clark of Safe Harbor Guide Service will be plowing out sites for fellow Pouters with his 1 Ton Pickup with a V-Plow.

I will be up there on Thursday afternoon to take advantage of his services. Here is contact information if anyone is interested.

With the melt today you could us a 4 wheeler and a plow for a spot you should be able to drive all over walker bay with a truck to get a spot the snow has dropped he would be a good choice if you think you need a plowed spot 41 today in walker for the Pout fest looks like the mid 20’s for this weekend get it plowed and it will freeze nice. Good walking bring the cleats to be safe.
