Had a guy with v-plow open my road to my fish house this is the worst year for slush and snow on Leech Ive seen. Water is everywhere on the lake you would have a tuff time with a snowmobile go with two sleds and dont slow down. Hopefully the fish bite this morning.

The word I hear for the Pout fest no trucks on the lake snow machines or wheelers too much slush it can change if we get some warm weather if your coming up be ready to work at getting out. I had a v plow get a road open for me and it was tuff and Im less than a1/4 mile off shore.

Need a thaw and a hard freeze before Pout Fest

Im on the lake most days and talk to Walker rental and friends that fish all over the lake from Walker bay to pine Pt and up by Bear island. Trucks will not be able to drive off road too much slush and I dont think they will Plow roads for everyone.

Roger Google Walker Chamber and call them for updates for the Pout Fest

Looks like your all alone out there again. Lake travel sucks.

Don’t know if this would work for ya up there, but over here if there is time, we take the sled without any gear and try to drive the sled to the point where we want to fish. Make a wide swing and come back through and try to widen the trail doing this a couple of times. Then hopefully the lake will freeze down this trail because the slush is exposed to the cold without any insulation from the snow.

If it freezes down, the trail is wide enough to park the sled with otter behind it, drilling holes along side of it and not having the water overtake the height of the trail keeping the otter from freezing down and making life really stink!!!

Hope this can help you get to your fishing spot.
