So I have the go ahead(a.k.a. forced to) to merge our family vacation and my father/son Canada vacation into one vacation. So the go-ahead is actually that a June Leech Lake trip was OK’ed by the wife.

What part of the lake has the best structure for muskies at end of june? My dad got the muskie fever in Canada and it will be all he wants to chase in Leech. I have never been on this lake before and want to find a resort that isn’t on the opposite side of the lake that we would fish. So any direction is greatly appreciated.

South and east Horseshoe Bay resort or Huddles would put you in a good area with reefs rocks and weeds close to pelican island.

Do some homework prior to your trip. Leech can be a great lake to hunt lunge on but if the wind kicks up you may want to have a back up lake or two. There are TONS of great muskie lakes up in that area. Have a great trip
