A group of us are heading up to Leech the 24-26 of Sept. We plan to mainly target the perch but hope to get a few eyes as well. Anyone been out lately and have any Info. that they care to share. This will be a week or 2 earlier than we normally go and with the warmer than usually summer I am not sure how that will effect the bite. Lat year we caught a ton of 9 1/2″ fish along with some nice 10″+ fish. I’m hopeing with another year of growth that all of those 9 1/2 ” fish from last year are now 10 1/2″ + fish this year. That sure would be a lot of fun and some great eating. Thanks in advance for any Info. if you prefer to PM me that would be fine as well.

24th and 25th will be the last two days of the FLW Walleye Tour so there will be 10 boats Friday and 5 on Saturday fishing if I recall correctly. A fair number of pro’s who fished but didn’t qualify will be around town and a good resource for the current bite. The weigh in on Friday and Saturday are at Northern Lights Casino.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!

We are allowed to transport these fish with a permit from the DNR. FLW has worked hard with the various DNR deptartments to ensure the tournament is above board with them and working to educate the public on how well these fish are treated.

Ted the final ten pros will be fishing on Saturday. Hopefully I am going to be one of them.
