I worked at Stony Point (now defunct) in the summer of 2003, and some good fishing can be found around there in June (at least that summer there was). You could try somewhere close to there like Horseshoe Bay or Agency Bay on the other side.

Now, I haven’t been back up there fishing since I worked up there, so my info may be dated.

I have been going to Leech for years in early June.We are going up June 12th this year. We stay at Pikedale. They are on the southeast side by Brevik. The last two years the Walleye fishing has been great. The northern fishing along with some of the best bass fishing can be found in the bays on this side of the lake.If you want more info send me a email.

Pretty much the whole lake offers good fishing, I favor the west side but so do allot of others. A couple resorts I would recomend are , Horseshoe bay lodge, Grandview lodge, Acorn hill resort, Bayside resort all are near good walleye fishing. June is always a good month for fishing on leech.

You can go to this site http://www.leechlake.org and look at the resorts. Anything off Pine PT or up in Steamboat bay you can get to good water. Adventure North is good nice harbor, Huddles is also good you have the south shore to fish and Boy Bay and you can get out of the wind and it has great Bass fishing as well as perch, then make a run up to sugar Pt and the reef’s by Pelican, or go up into portage bay.

One thing to remember Leech is the third larges Lake in MN, the reason some favor the west side is because the access spots are good and they live close and if the wind comes up and you will be pounded in a tin boat.

I fish the whole lake in my Warrior form Huddles east to the west by Goose I just like to see the whole lake. I launch alot at trappers landing as its only 2.5 Miles from my house on leech depending on the wind. Or somedays I go east to the Walker Park and Launch. I like to follow the fish over east the fish get pounded by many who cant travel up a long way like to portage bay thats were I head. Or the flats off pelican Island way less traffic.
