Most areas you can travel the lake with a four wheel drive pickup. Walker city park access has water when you drive on but you can still get on the lake.

Out of Grand Vu resort off Pine point they have a Pay box you can get on the Lake to fish perch in the Goose Island area.

If you go be aware of one pressure ridge out from the resort you can cross it with a truck but as we warm up this area should be crossed using caution.

The perch bite has been good some days then its a tuff bite some areas to try in Walker Bay south of breezy Point to the shore along #200 and to the south of Fishers point and has been good also in the bay the sunfish are biting close to the road.

Goose island area has put out some nice perch it seems the morning has been the best lots of drilling and moving, from north of Goose up towards sucker bay is worth a try and from Pine point up to Ottertail point is worth a look fishing on the flats in 15 to 16ft of water.

The crappie bite has been slow on the smaller lakes but I look for it to improve as we get a melt and water running in the Lake and the ice holes.

I have been scouting small lakes for crappies off the Wood Tick trail and have a couple Ill be trying right up till Ice out which should produce we just need it to warm good and get the water running some of the best fishing is coming up. Dont give up yet.

    Good luck
