My wife and I had stopped by the DNR trap that they set up every year on the creek between Woman lake and Child lake on Saturday. This station is open to the public and you are welcome to walk around and drool at the monster walleye all you want 
The DNR siad that they had almost meet there quota already and were expected to be done on monday. Friday night they had there biggest run of the year and was almost double what they consider a good night!!
The Spawn is definetly in full swing up here and for the most part has already peaked. With this in mind we should bre looking at a fantastic opener this year as those walleyes should be putting on the feed bags just in time for opener
