It was one of those flat calm days today. I was a bit worried on my way out but we found the fish to be active regardless of the conditions. The best part of today was the quality of fish caught all morning. Even the keepers were larger than I have been seeing with our 2 man limit be the heaviest I’ve seen this year, and we caught many slot fish on the upper end of the slot. Jig and minnow was the best, however the largest fish came on a leech rig. These fish were smacking the jigs and shiners in 10 to 13ft near a break line into deeper water. We fished two spots and caught 15 to 20 fish in 5 hours. We did fish perch the last hour and got a few nice ones.
