Walleye fishing remains pretty good. I have had morning trips the last 2 days and have managed 8 keepers and a few slot fish each morning. I am still jigging shiners and will continue to do so as long as they put fish in the boat. The morning bite has been best with the bite slowing as morning passes. Yesterday I ventured into some new water after the morning bite and found some real nice perch to add to the live well along with some nice slot walleyes.

    Nice report Tom !!

I’m curious, when you get the perch this time of year, are you getting them with different bait/jigs than you do fishing the Eyes?

I only make it up there for a week in the fall the last few years but some day…it’ll be more often…or all summer !!

Thanks for the update Tom! Good to see the fish are still biting decent since I will be up Saturday and staying for a week. Hope they don’t decide to shut down once I get there!

Same jig and minnow and was looking for walleyes. We had 20 or so perch and they were nice ones, they enjoyed the spot tails as did the walleyes.
