I have been on the water the last 6 days and am enjoying a Sunday off before hitting it again next week. I have had a couple slow days but over all good days are prevailing. Am seeing good numbers of keeper fish along with a few big fish each day. I am still jigging shiners and it is obvious that technique is key to jigging success at this time. If you are struggling with jigs, rigs with leeches and crawlers will work also. A few spots that held May walleyes are still producing fish but Im seeing other locations heating up as well. It’s a fun time of year to be fishing Leech lake with so many options for catching walleyes. The lake seems healthy and should provide good walleye fishing threw out the summer.
