June is off to a good start with a few great outings followed by just so-so ones. I’m getting fish every time out, sometimes they are mostly slots (fun fish from 20″-26″) with a few keepers and other times it’s mostly keepers. One day it’s Leeches on rigs with really light biters and the next they are bangin’ jigs and shiners. I have been seeing most bites in the 11′-14′ range but I’m sure there are some fish shallower than that with the wind picking up. I’m ready to try some spinners and crankbaits but there just isn’t time to try it all. It should be a good weekend for Walleyes and I’m itching to get out and move some Muskies too.
