Walker bay ice is in great shape. I have measured 17 to 20 inches of good ice with little snow cover. The cold weather slowed the bite just a bit when it hit but now the cold weather is the “stable weather” and fish are biting very well. I have an 8×16 house that I will be renting this year so if you are looking for a rental PM or email me and I will see if I can get you on some eyes. Here is my New Year’s day dinner. I was able to get these well before dark. Great way to start out the new year.

Great looking dinner plans you’ve got there. I sure wish I had the time to make it up your way, I have not been ice fishing up there in a few years. My son is 17 and still has not been able to pull a walleye through the ice – he is hoping this is th year but the opportunities down my way are slim.

I’ll reach out if we find a way to work in a trip up north.
