I’m finding walleyes fairly scattered lately. Forage options abound and most of my hookups come trolling 12′-15′ down in anywhere from 12-40 f.o.w. either on structure or over deep water suspended. Trolling flashy silver or gold cranks at 2+mph seems to get their attention. Along with the usual dawn/dusk/night bites, sunny/windy days can be a really good option.

The Muskies have been really slow to get going this year with few follows or hookup opportunities. With water temps back down around the 70 degree mark, a little sunny warm weather could finally get them in search-and-destroy mode. This 40″ warmer-upper came out of 15 f.o.w. on a down sized crankbait.
