Well for the first part of July the walleye fishing is pretty good. Monday thru Wednesday I had family groups, Monday was a slow day with only a dozen walleyes but a good mix of keepers and slot fish. Tuesday and Wednesday was much better fishing. The difference was we were on mostly slot fish with a few overs. I have had some youngsters in the boat that have landed some big walleyes all on their own. Lots of fun!! I have been all crawlers on rigs, starting shallow in the morning then moving out when the sun gets higher. The heat has been brutal with little or no wind but the fish don’t seem to mind.
