    Fished the LLWT

    Leech lake walleye Tourney ended today tired Sat was bad with four foot waves on my spot caught many fish 12″ to 24″. Left for calmer waters . Today up in portage bay we caught five to weigh biggest 17 7/8 and no big fish and many slots. Big perch jumbos in this area and I hooked over five northerns.

    Congrats to Toby Kvalevog who won some money and fun fishing with my partner Brian Morris. Congrtas to Dustin Minke who won.

    We put all eggs into one basket–and the basket was empty come Saturday–no “overs”. Went back on Sunday and it was worse. Finally moved Sunday PM. and got 10 in the last hour and half between 20″ and 25″ but again none over 26″. We played to win and didn’t try to get the “unders” until we got the big one….can’t wait until next year!

    It says Dusty Minke finished 3rd, unless they have it wrong.
