Trying to plan a getaway to Leech for later in the summer. Does anyone have a recommendation on a good resort?

I normally stay at my uncle’s, but I’ve stayed at Trader’s Bay Lodge as well. They have real nice cabins at a good rate on Stony Point.

We spend a week at Sugar Point every June and like it. Decent cabins, nice harbor, but fishing hasn’t been the greatest on that side of the lake lately.

Hiawatha beach is a good resort also. Cabins or camp. Noth end of Steamboat bay on the west side. About 6 miles north of Walker.

I spent the 4th of July weekend at Huddles Resort near Whipholt. I would give it a 8. Bait and tackle real close. Nice people.

Might want to check out Big Rock Resort. I have been there but never stayed there myself we have our own cabin in Longville wouldn’t make much sense to pay to stay somewhere that is 30 minutes away. I have met the owner(Jerry Emery) on a couple occasions and he is a really great guy, they have a nice harbor so even though it is on the main lake you will be well protected from wind that may come up.

1-800-827-7106 is the number and their web site is http://www.bigrockresort.com
    Good luck with your search.

I’ve stayed at a couple spots on Leech and I preferred Brindley’s Harbor out on Pine point hands down. The’ve got a great harbor so you’re not getting beat up by the waves, a couple brand-spankin new cabins that are unbelievable and a bunch of nice folks running the place. I believe their website is http://www.brindleysharbor.com
