Well there is nothing to special to report from last nights outting, but I at least made it out. I set up in about 21 ft on a inside turn of a good sized flat. The ice was around 12″ thick with only a couple inches of snow cover.
I managed 3 fish only. A very small pike on the set line and a 15″ walleye and about a 3-4lb pout! The pout was very fun though. I saw the mark come in after dark on the LX-5 and watched it race up to about 3ft off the bottom. It hit, missed it! I lowered the trout-n-pout spoon back down and it crushed it! Of course it had my set line wrapped up in it too! lol Look at the cool patterns on this fish though! Neat fish for a lake that isn’t suppose to have them in there! This is the second time I have caught one there!I’m heading out again tonight, but not sure where yet!
