Group of us have been doing Winnie out of Highbanks resort and like it but looking at Leech as a possibility. Anbody have recomendations on resorts for this winter? How does fishing compare? Part of our group likes to sit in provided shacks and part of us like to roam with portables. Looking for input. Thanks in advance.
we stay at a resort between the two lakes and ice fish both. Iowana Beech resort, heck Portage Lake isn’t too bad either. We have had luck in Portage Bay on Leech and we go out from North Star Resort just south of Bena about 5 miles. We have caught bigger perch from Leech, but the average size on Winni should be very good this year. Don’t overlook some of the smaller lakes in the area.

Fish both and maybe even some other smaller lakes in the area.
