9/30 Night Bite

We trolled for five hours this weekend and ended up with 18 fish with 10 being keepers (only kept 7). Amazingly no big fish, biggest were 24″. Quite a few at 12″-16″. Trolling Live Target Smelt or Minnow Raps in 12 f.o.w. was the ticket. Going slow (1.2-1.4) while pumping the rod seemed to get the most bites. Fishing seemed to get better into the wee hours but, a night owl I am not.

    Cheers and Hooksets!

Very cool. Great report! Really looking forward to when the big girls move way up shallow. Did you guys try up inside of 10FOW?

How have the perch been doing?

    Thanks!

A few fish came out of 7′, but that was after 11pm. I wanted to try casting to 4-6 f.o.w. but we had just enough action to keep us on the breakline.
